Jakarta, Jan. 24 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower is expanding apprenticeship access to Japan by strengthening cooperation with the Kagawa Prefectural Government.

The head of the ministry's Labor Planning and Development Agency, Anwar Sanusi, stated in Jakarta on Saturday that the cooperation aims to increase the placement and recruitment of Indonesian technical apprentices in Japan.

"It also aims to ensure the quality of their skills, as well as the protection of their welfare, safety, health, and security throughout the apprenticeship program," he said.
