Jakarta, Aug. 22 -- The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has strengthened cooperation with Myanmar authorities to prevent drug trafficking, particularly the entry of cross-border syndicates into Indonesia.
"BNN has strengthened cooperation with Myanmar's law enforcement agencies, a country known for massive drug production in Southeast Asia," BNN Head Marthinus Hukom said on Friday.
He explained that the cooperation focuses on improving coordination and information exchange to block the operations of drug syndicates in the Golden Triangle-where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet-that are attempting to smuggle drugs into Indonesia.
