Jakarta, April 4 -- The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) stated that the Indonesian government had anticipated the United States' (US) 32 percent import tariff on Indonesia early, which US President Donald Trump described as "reciprocal."
Acting Deputy II of KSP Edy Priyono conveyed this during an online coordination meeting on food supply and price stability held after the 2025 Eid al-Fitr on Thursday.
"We already knew that it would lead to this. What we just found out is that our reciprocal tariff stands at 64 percent, and after the discount, it becomes 32 percent," he explained.
