Jakarta, May 14 -- Indonesia and Jordan are exploring strategic cooperation in fertilizer production and agricultural technology to strengthen food security and boost agricultural efficiency in both countries.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Indonesia's Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, highlighted Jordan's status as one of the world's largest producers of fertilizer raw materials, including potash and phosphate-resources with strong potential for use in Indonesia's fertilizer industry.

To capitalize on this, Sulaiman proposed the joint establishment of a fertilizer company that would supply not only both nations but also other Southeast Asian and Asian markets.
