Jakarta, April 18 -- Indonesia is one of the first countries that the United States has agreed to discuss President Donald Trump's import tariff policy with, according to Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto.
"Indonesia is among the first nations to be accepted for talks," he said while providing updates on ongoing diplomatic efforts against the 32-percent tariff imposed on Indonesian products by the US.
During a press conference in Washington, D.C., on Friday, which was followed virtually from Jakarta, Hartarto noted that the Trump administration has also initiated similar discussions with Vietnam, Japan, and Italy.
