Jakarta, Oct. 10 -- Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana on Friday stressed the need to improve attractions, accessibility, and amenities to advance Indonesia's growing halal tourism sector.

Speaking in Jakarta, Wardhana said Indonesia, home to about 230 million Muslims, has vast potential to lead in the Muslim-friendly tourism market by promoting unique, culturally rooted experiences.

She outlined government efforts to position Indonesia as a top destination for Muslim travelers, including enhancing infrastructure and streamlining services.
