Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- The government and Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) agree to accept a grant of defense and security equipment in the form of ships worth 1.9 billion yen from the Japanese government, after considering various aspects.
The agreement was the result of a closed-door working meeting between Commission I of the DPR RI, the Ministry of Defense, and the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) on Tuesday.
"During the meeting, we agreed to accept this grant from the Japanese government," Deputy Minister of Defense Donny Ermawan said during a press conference after the meeting.
