Jakarta, Feb. 12 -- Indonesia's Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono stated that the construction progress of the first phase of the Kampung Nelayan Merah Putih (Red and White Fishermen's Village) program has reached 50 percent.

Trenggono said the Red and White Fishermen's Village program is planned to be developed at 65 locations, and the project was one of the agendas discussed during a limited meeting with President Subianto at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Thursday.

"Yes, the progress has reached 50 percent for phase one, and hopefully it can be completed soon in February," Trenggono told reporters.
