Jakarta, Sept. 6 -- Artificial intelligence (AI) is not only a necessity but an obligation for the future, and university graduates must embrace innovation to remain irreplaceable, Indonesia's Deputy Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Atip Latipulhayat said Saturday.
"AI may be amazing, but as Professor B.J. Habibie said, the most original intelligence is our brain," Latipulhayat told an event in Jakarta. "As long as humans create technology, it won't replace us."
To that end, the Ministry plans to introduce AI as an elective subject in schools, aiming to equip students with the skills to master, not be replaced by, the technology.
