Jakarta, Feb. 12 -- Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtiyor Saidov, issued a joint statement following the Second Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) between Indonesia and Uzbekistan.

The statement, finalized on Tuesday, highlighted discussions between the two ministers on strengthening bilateral relations across various sectors, including politics, security, economy, trade, and social and cultural exchanges.

"The two ministers also discussed regional and global issues of mutual concern, particularly the situations in Palestine and Afghanistan," according to the statement released by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
