Jakarta, Nov. 4 -- Trade Minister Budi Santoso stated that negotiations with the United States on zero tariffs for Indonesian commodities are expected to conclude this month.

"Yes, this November," Santoso confirmed the targeted completion date on Tuesday.

The minister explained that ongoing talks on tariffs imposed by the US government on Indonesian products are being conducted prudently, taking into account Indonesia's bargaining position.

He said the government is targeting a zero-percent tariff for Indonesian-made products that are not produced domestically by the United States.

Indonesia is scheduled to hold another round of discussions with US authorities next week, Santoso added.
