Bogor, West Java, Feb. 12 -- President Prabowo Subianto has said that Indonesia and Turkey have agreed to strengthen collaboration in defense and security.
"Indonesia and Turkey will strengthen defense and security cooperation, including education and training for our armed forces personnel, intelligence cooperation, and counter-terrorism," he said while issuing a joint statement with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan here on Wednesday.
While delivering the statement at Bogor Presidential Palace, Prabowo said that the two countries have agreed to increase joint production in the defense industry.
Meanwhile, President Erdogan backed Prabowo's statement on boosting bilateral cooperation in the field of security and defense.
