Jakarta, Dec. 10 -- Turkish Ambassador to Indonesia Talip Kucukcan believes that Indonesia and Turkey have a very close relationship in the Palestinian struggle for independence.
"Between Turkey and Indonesia, there is, I think, very close contact as far as the Palestinian issue is concerned and the peace efforts that we now follow today," said the ambassador during a special interview with ANTARA News Agency at the Turkish Embassy here on Monday.
He said that the Palestinian issue had almost become a national issue both in Indonesia and in Turkey.
Both countries believe that Israeli aggression and settlements throughout Palestine constitute a clear violation of the UN Charter and all human rights issues.
