Jakarta, May 19 -- President Prabowo Subianto on Monday conveyed Indonesia and Thailand's support for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Palestine.

He said that both countries are also pushing for immediate access to humanitarian aid for the Palestinian people in Gaza.

"We are calling for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine," he said while issuing a joint statement with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra at the Government House, Bangkok, Thailand.

"We are also pushing for access to humanitarian aid, and stating that the peace process should be carried out through a two-state solution," he added.
