Jakarta, June 20 -- Indonesia's Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman and his Russian counterpart, Oksana Nikolaevna Lut, explored opportunities for agricultural cooperation during a meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Indonesia's Ministry of Agriculture said the two ministers discussed potential investments in the sugar sector and exports of crude palm oil.

They also explored plans to establish a joint fertilizer plant in Indonesia, open Indonesia's market to Russian meat imports, and enhance agricultural research and technical cooperation through technology exchange.
