Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- Indonesia and New Zealand have agreed to strengthen cooperation in drug enforcement.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and New Zealand Ambassador to Indonesia Phillip Taula in Jakarta on Monday, according to a BNN statement on Tuesday.

BNN head Suyudi Ario Seto noted that both sides have previously worked together, including training BNN officers at New Zealand's Police Dog Training School in 2017.

"I hope cooperation between BNN and the New Zealand government will continue to improve, especially in drug enforcement through training and information exchange," Seto said.
