Jakarta, Sept. 24 -- Indonesia and New Zealand agreed on Wednesday to step up cooperation on women's empowerment and child protection during talks between Indonesian Women Empowerment and Child Protection Minister Arifah Fauzi and New Zealand's Ambassador to Indonesia Phillip Taula.
"We commend the New Zealand Embassy for supporting Indonesia, particularly on women's empowerment and child protection. We hope this collaboration can be sustained and strengthened," Fauzi said in Jakarta.
Fauzi said her ministry is advancing an initiative called Indonesia's Common Space (RBI), a center that integrates efforts on women's empowerment and child protection to deliver more effective results.
