Jakarta, Feb. 4 -- Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono met with Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia Mohammad Boroujerdi to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in strategic fields, particularly in supporting national food and energy security, trade, and investment.
While receiving a courtesy call from Ambassador Boroujerdi in Jakarta on Monday (Feb 3), FM Sugiono discussed the potential for cooperation in energy security, including investment in renewable energy.
Sugiono expressed Indonesia's interest in leveraging Iran's expertise in nanotechnology and biotechnology to develop agricultural technology that can support national food security.
