Jakarta, Oct. 28 -- Indonesian Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin welcomed a visit from General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) of the Indian Armed Forces, to discuss strengthening defense and military cooperation between the two countries.

"We already have a well-established partnership with India, and both sides are committed to enhancing it," said Deputy Defense Minister Donny Ermawan Taufanto during a press conference on Tuesday.

Prior to the meeting with Minister Sjamsoeddin, General Chauhan visited key facilities of Indonesia's defense industry, including PT Dirgantara Indonesia and PT Pindad in Bandung, West Java, to observe ongoing developments.
