Jakarta, May 29 -- Indonesia and France have signed 27 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth US$11 billion.

Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto announced that 27 MoUs were signed on Wednesday during the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Jakarta.

"Sixteen MoUs were signed (this morning) in the presence of President Macron and President Prabowo (Subianto)," Hartarto stated.

The remaining 11 agreements were signed later in the day at the Indonesia-France Business Forum, attended by 368 delegates from both countries.

Hartarto said the agreements reflect the leaders' shared aspiration to strengthen bilateral relations.
