New York, Sept. 26 -- Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in marine research, particularly regarding Pacific biodiversity.
The two discussed strengthening this cooperation during a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States, on Thursday.
"As two countries bordering the Pacific Ocean, we have a shared interest in promoting marine biodiversity research and cooperation in protecting maritime ecosystems," said Sugiono.
The Foreign Minister stated that the meeting marked the strengthening of the two countries' 45-year partnership.
