Jakarta, July 24 -- The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) and the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia have strengthened bilateral cooperation through educational initiatives on the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) scheme.

Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's China Committee (KIKT), Jona Widhagdo Putri said during a forum held in Jakarta on Thursday that this was one effort to leverage the power of customs trust between the two countries.

"The AEO scheme is more than just a mechanism to facilitate trade. It is a trust-based system that accelerates safe, predictable, and competitive trade flows," Putri said in her remarks.
