Jakarta, Sept. 5 -- Indonesia and Cambodia are working to address a sharp rise in immigration and consular issues involving Indonesian nationals living in Cambodia, officials said following a bilateral meeting this week.
Indonesian Ambassador Santo Darmosumarto met with Major General Lour Rabo, deputy director general of Cambodia's Immigration Department, on Thursday to discuss ongoing concerns.
Darmosumarto thanked Cambodian authorities for supporting Indonesians in the country and pledged continued efforts to remind citizens to comply with local laws.
"The Indonesian embassy will remind nationals to adhere to Cambodian rules and regulations," he said, according to a statement released Friday.
