Jakarta, Feb. 20 -- Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir discussed the follow-up to Indonesia's BRICS membership with Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira during a meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting (FMM) in Johannesburg, South Africa.
At the meeting on Wednesday, Nasir thanked Brazil for supporting Indonesia's BRICS membership and its commitment to be active in the organization.
"As a new member of BRICS, Indonesia is committed to actively participating in all BRICS agendas and workflows," the Indonesian deputy minister said in his statement.
Indonesia is also hopeful of Brazil's support for ASEAN being invited to the upcoming G20 Summit in South Africa, he added.
