Belem, Brazil, Nov. 14 -- Indonesia and Brazil have agreed to deepen cooperation on climate action, biodiversity protection and sustainable development following the Brazilian president's recent visit to Jakarta, officials said.
Indonesian Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said he met Brazil's Minister of Environment and Climate Change Marina Silva on the sidelines of the COP30 climate conference in Belem on November 12 to outline joint priorities ahead of next year's negotiations.
"We discussed steps we will take together at COP30 and agreed to follow up with concrete bilateral initiatives," Hanif said.
