Jakarta, Aug. 7 -- Minister of Culture Fadli Zon stated that cultural exchange is one of the main pillars in strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and the Republic of Belarus.

"The diversity of Indonesian traditions holds great potential to establishing mutually beneficial cultural collaboration," Fadli Zon said in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

He added that with the establishment of the Ministry of Culture as a new independent institution, cultural diplomacy is now entering a more progressive chapter-one that is open to broader international cooperation.

The meeting also discussed the revision of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cultural cooperation originally signed in 2015.
