Jakarta, July 3 -- The Indonesian Quarantine Agency and Australia's Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) held a workshop in Jakarta on July 1-2 to strengthen biosecurity cooperation between the two countries.
According to a press release from the Australian Embassy on Wednesday, the workshop served as a platform for biosecurity officials to identify collaborative activities of mutual benefit and to develop a multi-year work plan for both agencies.
"Strong biosecurity cooperation helps strengthen health, stability, and resilience - both within individual countries and across the region," said Justine Saunders, Deputy Secretary for Biosecurity, Compliance, and Operations, who led the Australian delegation.
