Jakarta, Feb. 5 -- Indonesia and Algeria have agreed to strengthen tourism cooperation to expand Muslim travel, tap the North African market, and deepen bilateral relations, an official said.
Deputy Minister of Tourism Ni Luh Puspa said a recent meeting with a delegation from Algeria's National People's Assembly in Jakarta opened opportunities for skills transfer benefiting tourism workers, small businesses, local tour guides, and investors.
"This is a strategic opportunity to strengthen the North African market and develop Muslim tourism, while encouraging knowledge transfer," Ni Luh said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
