Jakarta, June 11 -- The 2025 Indo Defense Expo & Forum aims to showcase the international presence of Indonesia's domestic defense industry, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin said on Wednesday.

Speaking at the expo's opening in Jakarta, he described the event as a major opportunity to highlight products from key state-owned manufacturers such as PT Pindad (arms), PT PAL (shipbuilding), and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI, aerospace).

"Indo Defense will continue to present a wide range of defense industry products to the broader community," Sjamsoeddin said. "These include PT Pindad's Maung military electric vehicle, the Harimau medium tank, and the SS3 assault rifle."
