Tangerang, Banten, Jan. 26 -- Indonesia's Immigration and Corrections Minister, Agus Andrianto, has directed immigration authorities to closely monitor foreign nationals entering the country under investment schemes, warning against illicit activities that could threaten public security.
"Foreign investors must not be allowed to disrupt public order. We have already seen cases in certain regions," Andrianto said during the 76th Immigration Service Day on Monday.
His remarks come shortly after President Prabowo Subianto's three-country tour, which secured investment commitments worth approximately Rp90 trillion (US$5.3 billion), including funding for the development of elite universities.
