Jakarta, April 30 -- Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi affirmed that the International Monetary Fund's (IMF's) projection of Indonesia's economic growth at 4.7 percent this year should not dampen national spirit and optimism.

In his statement received here on Wednesday, Hadi noted that such economic projections are routine from international institutions.

"It is entirely reasonable for institutions to provide assessments or growth projections for our nation's economy," he stated.

However, he emphasized that the Indonesian government remains optimistic about the strength of the nation's economic fundamentals.
