Jakarta, April 22 -- The government plans to resume preparations next year for transferring civil servants to Indonesia's new capital city, Nusantara (IKN), according to Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Rini Widyantini.
Addressing national lawmakers, she explained that restarting preparations is necessary to ensure the relocation aligns seamlessly with new strategies for developing the future seat of government.
"We have prepared a ministerial letter, which was signed on January 24 this year, informing all ministries, agencies, and their civil servants of the transfer postponement," she remarked during a meeting with Commission II of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Jakarta on Tuesday.
