Indonesia, Nov. 29 -- The Authority of IKN Nusantara (OIKN) is developing a solar power plant (PLTS) with an investment value of Rp900 billion (US$52.5 million) to supply clean energy to parts of Penajam Paser Utara District and Kutai Kartanegara District in East Kalimantan Province.

"To meet clean energy needs, one of the main priorities supporting IKN's development is the construction of a PLTS in collaboration with PT NSSE (PT Nusantara Sembcorp Solar Energi)," OIKN head Basuki Hadimuljono said on Saturday.

He emphasized that establishing clean energy infrastructure is an integral part of IKN's vision to become a sustainable forest city.
