Penajam Paser Utara, Dec. 15 -- The Nusantara Capital City (IKN) authority is inspecting food at community activity hubs in the IKN area of Sepaku, North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan, to ensure food safety and suitability for consumption.

"Direct inspections at various food distribution facilities ensure all products sold meet food safety standards," said P. Setia Lenggono, an official of the IKN Authority, in Sepaku, North Penajam Paser, on Monday.

He continued, adding that in addition to protecting the local community, the inspections are being conducted in line with the potential increase in visitor numbers and tourism activities in the IKN, particularly during the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year holidays.
