Jakarta, May 5 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed confidence in Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen's ability to help achieve shared goals within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

"I am convinced that Your Excellency's insights can advance our collective work towards maintaining peace, stability, and prosperity in the Southeast Asian region," he remarked while hosting the former Cambodian prime minister at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.

In his opening speech during the bilateral meeting, Prabowo said receiving the Cambodian Senate President in Indonesia was a great honor.
