Jakarta, May 26 -- Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Puan Maharani highlighted the DPR's support for cooperation between the governments of Indonesia and China.
Maharani elaborated that one way the DPR supports this cooperation is by creating regulations that encourage investment from China in Indonesia.
"We will support the government's policies. Of course, those that are mutually beneficial for the two countries," she remarked after meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta, on Sunday.
According to the speaker, the DPR's support is motivated by the fact that China is the third-largest investor in Indonesia.
