Jakarta, Sept. 10 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said housing difficulties are among the reasons many young residents hesitate to marry.

"This is what is happening, as portrayed in the Indonesian film Home Sweet Loan, which tells the story of a young woman struggling to save for a house while also supporting her parents and siblings," he said at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday.

He noted that the film illustrates how challenging it is for the younger generation to obtain housing. Drawing lessons from it, he expressed hope that the central government's target of building 3 million subsidized houses can help address these concerns.
