Denpasar, Bali, Dec. 27 -- I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali adjusted several aircraft landings due to heavy rain that has persisted since Saturday morning, according to the airport's Head of Communication and Legal Affairs, Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi.

"On Saturday, heavy rain fell continuously at the airport and surrounding areas. To ensure the safety of flights and passengers, adjustments were made to aircraft landings," he said in a statement on Saturday.

Asmadi noted that at least six flights were placed in holding patterns while awaiting clearance to land, including two flights from Melbourne, one from Perth, one from Labuan Bajo, one from Abu Dhabi, and one from Bangalore.
