Tangerang, Banten, Jan. 12 -- Some 109 flights experienced a delay at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on Monday due to bad weather.
The airport's general manager Heru Karyadi said that 109 flights were delayed from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Seven flights must go through go around before landing and 31 flights were diverted to other airports.
"We continue to coordinate intensively with relevant parties to ensure swift and appropriate operational management regarding the impact of the rain," he stated.
As a precautionary measure, Karyadi said that the airport is implementing delay management procedures to minimize the impact of flight departure delays through inter-agency coordination.
