Jakarta, Nov. 19 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the development of high-standard health facilities domestically is key to reducing the public's dependence on medical services abroad.
At the inauguration of the Emirates Indonesia Cardiology Hospital in Central Java, monitored online on Wednesday, Prabowo said that the new hospital has the most advanced equipment in Indonesia.
He said the hospital's construction was an effort to prevent people from seeking treatment abroad, especially for heart and cardiovascular diseases.
"I think this will give new hope to heart disease patients. They won't have to go abroad for treatment," said Prabowo.
