Jakarta, Jan. 6 -- The Health Ministry has expressed optimism that it will cover nearly half of Indonesia's population, or 46 percent, through the Free Health Checkup (CKG) program in 2026, following an evaluation of the program's performance in 2025.

"The targeted proportion of free health checkups across all age groups is 46 percent of the total population," said Aji Muhawarman, head of the ministry's Bureau of Communication and Public Information, on Tuesday.
