Jakarta, Jan. 19 -- Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin is targeting full health services recovery in the disaster-affected areas of Sumatra by March 2026.

"Our next target is to have everything fully restored by March. We have listed all the hospitals and community health centers, along with the remaining shortfalls," he said during a meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR) in Jakarta on Monday.

He noted that several facilities still lack adequate support to ensure smooth health services, including thousands of mattresses damaged by mud during the floods.

"In addition, during the flooding, all ambulances were damaged. They requested new ambulances, but I refused," Sadikin said.
