Wonosobo, C Java, June 25 -- Minister for the Protection of Migrant Workers, Abdul Kadir Karding, has said that the government will ensure the protection of migrant workers in conflict areas.

"Indonesian workers in Iran have been handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while in Qatar, we have around two thousand registered workers. We are currently mitigating the situation by continuously collecting data," he informed here on Wednesday.

He made the statement following the launch of Migrant Workers' Golden Village and socialization of overseas job opportunities in Wonosobo district.

In addition to providing information on emergency measures, the government is also encouraging workers to relocate to safer areas.
