Jakarta, July 1 -- The Transmigration Ministry ( Kementrans ) has expressed its commitment to completing the issuance of land ownership rights (SHM) for 129,553 lots of transmigrant land, with a particular focus on regions where transmigration zones overlap with forest areas.

Minister of Transmigration M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara said here on Monday that 17,655 lots, or 13.6 percent of the total lots, are located within forest areas, while 111,898 lots, or 86.4 percent, lie outside forest areas.

He informed that as of June 2025, the provinces with the highest number of transmigration land overlaps with forest areas included North Maluku, with 3,498 lots across 13 settlement units, followed by Jambi, with 1,305 lots across six settle...
