Jakarta, Jan. 31 -- Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza has urged online shopping platforms operating in Indonesia to label goods produced by local industries with a "Made in Indonesia" tag.
This could help offset the domination of imported products on e-commerce platforms, Riza explained after visiting the headquarters of Shopee Indonesia in Jakarta on Friday.
"Locally made products should get special attention on marketplace platforms like Shopee," he stressed.
"If necessary, these platforms can add a special label of 'Made in Indonesia' to inform consumers that the products they purchase are made domestically," he suggested.
