Jakarta, Oct. 28 -- Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar has urged the public to remain cautious about job offers in Cambodia, warning that the country is not an officially recognized destination for Indonesian migrant workers.
"We continue to campaign and raise awareness that Cambodia is not a safe destination for our migrant workers," Muhaimin said in Jakarta on Monday.
He stressed that any job offer involving placement in Cambodia should be considered illegal, as Indonesia and Cambodia have yet to establish formal cooperation to ensure the safety and rights of Indonesian workers.
