Jakarta, Nov. 19 -- A member of Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR), Rivqy Abdul Halim, urged the government to immediately form a task force for digital consumer protection to curb online shopping fraud.
He assessed that the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), and the state-owned telecommunications company Telkom need to synergize to form this task force.
Halim underscored here on Wednesday that online shopping fraud methods have increasingly become more sophisticated.
