Jakarta, June 25 -- The Ministry of Transportation is planning to revise Law Number 1 of 2009 concerning Aviation to allow flying taxis, such as the EHang 216-S, to operate in Indonesia.
During a EHang 216-S taxi test flight in the PIK 2 area of Tangerang, Banten, on Wednesday, the ministry's director of airworthiness and aircraft operations, Sokhib Al Rohman, said that his office will add several points to the law to accommodate the legality of the futuristic transportation mode.
"We plan to revise or amend Law Number 1 of 2009, where we would like to include the accommodation of operations, starting from design, personnel, facilities," Rohman informed.
