Jakarta, Dec. 23 -- Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto said his ministry plans to make cooperative studies a compulsory subject at universities as part of efforts to strengthen the role of cooperatives in the national economy.

"We want to incorporate cooperative values into several compulsory courses at universities, including Pancasila economics," Brian said after the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono and several other ministers at the Ministry of Cooperatives office in Jakarta on Tuesday.
