Jakarta, April 3 -- Minister for Migrant Workers' Protection, Abdul Kadir Karding, announced an award for an Indonesian migrant worker named Sugianto who rescued an elderly person from a forest fire in South Korea.

During a video call with Sugianto in Palu, Central Sulawesi, Minister Karding praised his actions, which prioritized humanity above all else.

"Thank you, Sugianto. Your actions can serve as an example for all of us and inspire many people with your heroism in the humanitarian aspect," Karding said, according to a press statement issued by the ministry here on Thursday.
